Cartoon me

Kia ora my name is Mahia and I go to Karoro school: we were learning to create our facial looks with lines: 1) we were creating a self portrat of ourself using tools (lines): 2) we took a selfie of ourself  so we could sketch our looks: 3) we learnt to use the polyline tool to create our selfportrait: 4) this tool was simple to use and to create: 5) when we were finished we had to delete our background : 6) we chose a colourful background to represent us. I represented my craziness: Would you like to do these with your class?

The Hot Pools

The Hot Pools

During the school holidays my family and I decided to go to the Franz Josef hot pools and the glacier walk to start our holidays. We started getting packed but as soon as we arrived in the car it was raining cats and dog’s. This did not make a nice start to our school holidays.

Firstly, the rain continued for a very long time as we were driving. It was drizzling and dripping all over the place but we couldn't let a little amount of rain bother us.

Next, after four long hours we arrived at our destination and drove to the Glaciers. When we arrived there was a huge sign saying no vehicles or trespassers. So we went to Fox to see if we could go to the walk but again there was another sign so we drove back to the hot pools.

Last, we arrived at the pools and we took all our luggage down to the office. As soon as we got changed we went in the hot pools. When me and my family went in the water it was steaming and it was burning, it was really hot. I couldn't hop in but I did.

After half in hour we came out and had food down in a posh restaurant.

Then we drove back to our house. I had a good time with my family and I hope to go to the hot pool again one day.
